Some of my lovely customers last Summer.
It's that time of the year again. Love is in the Air. The birds are singing, there are people kissing in the streets and for most it's a perfect bubble of happiness in love.
For some that is... I am single for this February 14th, which is something I seem to be pretty good at maintaining. But whilst sitting in the cold London air last week I decided this doesn't mean I should miss out on a whole day of feeling valuable, happy and feeling love. This Saturday I am going to do what I love all day. That is work on the new SS15 Curious Alice Clothing collection. Nothing makes me happier at the moment that scrolling through photos of last summer and seeing all my wonderful customers rocking my clothing on holiday, at festivals and in the glorious sunshine.
Sometimes it's the small things that make you happy and I think you should appreciate them every day of the year as well as this weekend.
Have fun whatever you do Valentines Day and who knows, with the competition I have running, you could be in for a little Valentines treat!
Lots of love

The Alexa

River Island Cut out Boots

Dorothy Perkins Necklace
Hello again,

So today I've decided to tell you a little bit about my products, the sort of thing you wouldn't know or find out on my Instagram or website, but to give you more of an insight to my brand.
The Alexa was the very first product that I launched on my clothing page Curious Alice Clothing and I couldn't believe how popular it became in such a fast amount of time! I went from 1 follower (thanks mum) to 500 in the space of about a week and received 6 orders in the first week of the launch of my site. This was so exciting for me as I never really expected my line to take off, I thought one or two orders a month would be great and here I was in my first week with orders flowing in!
I spent a lot of time perfecting my patterns with my trusty set square, measurement forms and all the knowledge I had gained in my first year at uni, and then I was set to get making.

Something which I LOVE about my brand is naming my products. Each garment is named after someone who is significant to me and a big part of my life.  As some of you have guessed, The Alexa is in fact named after the queen who is, Alexa Chung.  She is someone who's fashion I have always followed and someone who I have looked up to through my teenage years.  She also really inspired me in regards to the prints and shapes I chose when designing this product.  I think that she would style it up super grungy and add her own 'Alexa' look to the product but its something that I could defiantly see her wearing with her tatty, worn out, effortlessly cool (sigh) Levi original denim jacket.

I personally love this products and am guilty of wearing them all the time, round the house because they are super comfy and out and about in town for this glorious hot weather we are having. I get so many compliments and it feels me with pride to say its from my clothing range!
I also love seeing all of you wearing them (and WORKING them may I add) so make sure you tag me on Instagram @curiousaliceclothing and #curiousaliceclothing so I can see how amazing you look!
Lots of Love

To new Beginnings...

Coords From my Company Curious Alice Clothing

Hello!
I'm Alice Brown, the proud owner of Curious Alice Clothing, a new company that creates quality, fashionable and beautiful handmade garments.  You can find me on my website www.curiousaliceclothing.bigcartel.com or via instagram @curiousaliceclothing.

I am currently studying costume construction at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and set up Curious Alice Clothing as a way of sharing my love for unique clothing and finally creating the designs that had been in my head and on random notebooks around my room.  It is also a way for me to work and progress as a maker and really show people the beauty of handmade clothing.  The company has really blossomed in the past few months and so I decided that I wanted to stretch it even further.
Blogging is something that I have always dabbled with. I love the idea of recording a fashion diary and sharing photos of what you wear with others. I am a big fan of fashion bloggers such as LLYMRS, BeFrassy and Zoella (I wouldn't be able to get dressed in the morning without Lily Melrose) and have always aspired to be a part of this community, yet everything I created was a bit scatty and never lasted!  I also really like the idea of being able to express your thoughts of a day, a bit like a journal, so that you can reflect.

I think that this will be a real challenge for me but I am determined to make this blog work and even if I have just 1 reader (myself) I think that it will be worth it!  I intend to write about all things Curious Alice Clothing, including new designs and ideas, inspiration, customer images and feedback and lots of photos of how to wear my garments.  However, I will also include my personal home life, including a fashion diary, thoughts, events to really try to make myself make the most of my days.

Lots of Love
Curious Alice xoxo
